Greetings
This looks like a great site. I'm pretty active in a couple of other sites, but it seems I can never learn enough about using and maintaining an RV, so I thought I'd start checking in here on my morning rounds of interesting sites.
I've owned every kind of camper except a class A and a 5th wheel, and I've owned two different models of several campers: 3 Toyota class C's, 3 truck campers, 3 trailers, 2 VW's. That's a lot of mistakes and wasted money on campers I didn't like after a while and sold for a loss!
I've made a lot of repairs over my 40 years of camping, from my '58 VW van to my current Chinook Concourse, but there seems to be something that goes wrong that I've never run into before. The latest learning was what a Low Voltage Disconnect (LVD) was, and how they go wrong, and how to bypass the darned thing.
It's an interesting time for all of us -- high fuel prices, companies going out of business, shoddy repair work at many RV dealerships because they can't get good mechanics. We need each other more than ever in order to make our own repairs and get by as cheaply as possible.
More posts as needed, or as I'm inspired.
