We are in Las Cruces and a neighbor and now friends have a 31bws. Yesterday the temps were forecast to hit 100 with that big high coming across from CA. The neighbor turned the AC on and nothing. Asked me about it and the first thing that came to mind was the trouble some have had with the fan motor freezing up. Checked it and sure enough, it was froze, loosened it up and off it went. Then we found out that the AC would run all day set at 70 degrees but anything above that or below, it would shut off. This unit has the quick cool unit with the digital thermostat, I suggested replacing that as that is the only thing I could think off. It has no serviceable parts, CW had one for around $90

They haven't come back yet, sure hopes that works as today is going near 100 again.
