Anybody know what a "yottabyte" is?
According to this article, a yottabyte is a lotta bytes.
NSA to store yottabytes of surveillance data in Utah megarepository (update: not so much)
"...There are a thousand gigabytes in a terabyte, a thousand terabytes in a petabyte, a thousand petabytes in an exabyte, a thousand exabytes in a zettabyte, and a thousand zettabytes in a yottabyte. In other words, a yottabyte is 1,000,000,000,000,000GB..."
Wow! I can only imagine what they're planning to store in that facility and how secure it will be. Can you imagine having to design the search engine to sift through all that data? I'll bet that's a pretty hefty contract!
