Default nortian wedge

the full credit for this wedge belongs to norty .... he'd told me about it and was good enough to make one for us to use .... folks with a single control button for both of a 5er's landing gear know of the issue of making sure they both hit at the same time .... you may be the person who gets level sites or one where the difference is exactly one inch, but I seldom find such a spot .... we always use a section of 2 X 6 under each landing gear and have found that norty's wedge inserted under the one that hits last is a simple and effective way of taking up the gap .... in the picture below the one norty made for us is on the left and as you many note, I've used it to the point it is bent .... to make them I purchased a 3' piece of 1 X 6" oak shelving board .... cut the board into 3 1' pieces .... then cut each long ways with a bandsaw to make 6 wedges .... in the pictures below his is on the left and the one we made is on the right ... you will note that the one we made is a bit widder than the one norty made for us .... haven't used ours yet but have no doubt it will work .... norty's idea is an excellent one and I highly recommend it
