Lightbulb Free speech, free posting and discussions between adults

The internet is the greatest tool for the advancement in communication and knowledge in history. It allows people from all over the world to come together and share information from their perspective. By sharing our ideas we can evolve our perspective on any topic we are interested in. That requires and open mind and the ability to understand where someone else is coming from.

That said, we can understand that some become so entrenched in being right that their perspective can never evolve. Many times on the internet two people, or groups, get going AT each other from an entrenched perspective and battle back and forth. These situations eventually settle and the forum moves back to the center and valuable information sharing.

I don't believe that adults require moderators and editors. Adults can disagree in an adult manner and continue to discuss any topic. If a bully wants to keep smacking you, in the forum sense of the word, block that bully or ignore him. The bully will eventually get bored because he isn't part of the community.

I also believe that companies that are part of the industry should be allowed to participate in the community. If the member is a valued contributor of information, and participating in the community, I see no problem in that member presenting products.

As I see it, the bottom line is that constant moderating and editing of adults creates an atmosphere where there can never any honesty and integrity. How could it be anything else if the community member is always posting in the context of being moderated?

MyRVTalk will be a place for open and honest communication.

Contribute, learn, meet some new friends and enjoy!

Sean Woodruff
