The U.S. Trade Office actively worked with the Red Chinese
government to prevent the Maryland General Assembly from
banning certain products made with lead. Separately, the World
Trade Organization also put out a report criticizing a Maryland
General Assembly measure that would ban a dangerous chemical
compound in children’s products.
