As far as I know (might be limited) we have at least three key types of Brake Controller's inputs
1) Iinput signal given via mechanical input generated by brake pedal movement (Jordan type)
2) Hydraulic (brake fluid pressure) input either direct (older types pre anti-lock brake systems) or via pressure sensors (BrakeSmart type)
3) Brake pedal stop light switch input (quite standard with all the other BC's)
4) Whatever I might be missing.

Is it possible, feasible and does it make sense to set up a sensor in the hitch creating a signal or input to the brake controller. The signal can be generated as soon as a (float) condition is noticed between the TT and the TV.. (something which needs to be calibrated in)..

The reason why I am out on a limb is to see what else can be done with Brake Controller's technology combined with converging link type of hitch designs (HA and ProPride)..
