HA vs. 3P vs. ??

OK, as a fiver owner, I know a little about the HA and the Pullrite pivoting receiver and nothing about the 3P. But I need to provide some direction to a new TT owner. Can someone provide a good summary between the HA, 3P and maybe Pullrite hitches? Cost, stability, installation issues, hookup issues, or just pros and cons?? His truck is an F250 and he has done lots of pulling of gooseneck trailers, but never a TT.

Hi everyone,

I finally completed my ProPride installation today. Here is a photo gallery of my hitch installation:

http://www.chrispitude.net/ (http://www.chrispitude.net/view.php?album=cars%2FNorth_Trail_21FBS&pic=IMG_2009.jpg&dispsize=512&start=0&picindex=0)

Apparently I lucked out pretty good. On my North Trail, the hitch install conflicted with the propane tank tray, the breakaway switch, and the 7-way junction box. Comments are welcome!

Just bought a propride

I just bought my first propride. I cannot believe I am spending that kind of money on a hitch, but after enough long trips with my equalizer I want something safer. 4 kids, one on the way, and the DW just are to important to me to risk it on a travel trailer swaying. I am looking forward to the install and first pull. I have watched the youtube videos and looked at post here a while. Thanks to everyone for the posting of information here. I am looking forward as well to speaking with Sean and learning all about it.

What happens when a ProPride turns too tight?

I know with my orange hitch, if I attempted to turn too tight (like if it was my first time out and I was stuck in a cramped gas station parking lot, trying to back up to get out of everyone's way...), the shear bolts on the strut bracket would break. That didn't actually happen to me, but only because I caught myself first. :)

On the ProPride, what's the point of give or the point of failure? Will the yoke tail push the yoke support bracket off to the side, since it mounts using U-bolts through a long slotted region? If I tighten those U-bolts too tight, does that defeat this safety mechanism such that the yoke tail could bend?

Inquiring minds want to know...
