Anyone herd of a battery getting so hot it boils water? Just last week David filled the battery up with water. Tonight after doing some work on the tongue jack and hooking it to the battery he noticed the battery was realllllly hot. Added a bit more water to fill it up and 20 mins later goes to check on it and the water is boiling. At this point he's afraid to touch it but all power is shut off to the RV itself. Hopefully one of you guys can give me some ideas to share with him on the cause. Im sure someone will ask, Its the simple battery the camper came with.

Thanks!

going to be getting new awning fabric installed.
Decided to stay with the trusty A&E8500 hardware and just put on some new fabric.
Trailer will go to the dealer tomorrow so they can do exact measurements and get the correct fabric ordered.
Should be done middle of next week.
So I will be doing an early morning hookup, pull it out of the back yard storage area and tow it over to the dealer...about 25 miles from home.

Landing and Stabilizer Jack problem

:help:I have a 2010 Keystone Montana Mountaineer Edition. It Has the Lippert Industries power landing gear and stabilizer jacks with the remote control. The Landing gear and jacks will function with the remote control but neither will work with the manual switches. I only have a testing light that showed there was power to the landing gear motor when the switch was depressed but I don't have a voltmeter. All other systems work fine. Any ideas as to what the problem may be?

I am ready to replace out A&E 8500 awning. The matierial is starting to delaminate and separate near the awning rail. Not bad for sitting in the direct sun for 9.5+ years now...
I am debating on just replacing the fabric vs. replacing the whole thing with something with newer hardware and possibly a different mechanism.

What are you using, Carefree or Dometic?
Which model and do you like it.
Anyone with a Carefree Pioneer?

I really would like to upgrade to a manual or electric scissor mechanism since it eliminates the diagonal legs....

I am looking at installing the SteadyFast Stabilizer System on my Sunnybrook 5th Wheel and was wondering if anybody else has installed the system and how they like it? The website seems to show a pretty impressive setup and to get the shaking out of my camper would be great. I have already installed an additional set of scissor jacks in the middle of the camper, which helped a little. The tripod under the king pin doesn't seem to make much difference.
