Default Dealer selling no-name cheap hitches.

Hi all,

My first post.

I have a trailer on order and thought I would sort the hitch out ahead of time. When we ordered the trailer, the dealer scratched out the price of a WD hitch of $575 on the sales agreement. I promptly had him remove it not knowing at the time which way I wanted to go.

So we drop in the other day and he shows me this 1/4"-thick hitch brochure. I then carefully checked the brochure from cover to cover and not one name was printed in it. Not even the tiny print on the back cover. So I'm guessing these are knock-offs coming right out of China. Talk about cheaping out or what. For $575, I would have received a simple no-name generic WD hitch with round bars and no sway control.

I ordered a Reese dual-cam setup from e-trailer for $445 and free shipping.

You have to watch what the dealers are pushing. Profits seem to be more important than safety.
