Default microwave plate?

i just read a post on a different forum. Saying how they always removed the microwave plate before they travel. we havent done that and it seams to be just fine. But in the future, can i just wrap a towel around it and stick it back in the microwave? do you guys take these precautions?

and speaking of precautions, im starting to wonder if im missing some, so ladies and gents. what do you do to lock down the inside of your tt's and 5th wheels? it seams as tho im taking very little into consideration when i pack it up to "roll out".

to be honest i haven't even taking the photos i have hanging on the wall off due to i just forget, there all still up there. "i took out the glass before i put them in, so there just frames and plastic wrap on most of them."
no wonder im always done before david.
