Default Suburban Water Heaters

file this one in the "My Opinion" file .... Suburban water heaters are used in many campers and have a history of doing a very good job :


these units employ anode rods :



these rods are designed to absorb the corrosive action of heated water, in that the corrosive elements in the water attack and "eat up"the anode rod rather than the material of the tank. " ... while, without question, they are very effective I recommend folks not drink the water from these tanks .... my concern, which as noted at the very first of this post is pure opinion, is the residue from the chemical reaction from these anode rods just simply isn't what I want present in the water we drink .... further, I recommend that dishes washed with water from one of these tanks be rinsed in cold water
