Upcoming event on Sept 19-20. Camping OK, no hookups.

There is lots to see at this event. Model airplanes of all sizes, full-scale fly-bys, helicopter rides, and noon-time demos from some of the best model airplane pilots in the country.

One of the largest model airplane events in the area, the Raleigh-Durham Radio Control club holds an annual event to raise money for charitable organizations. The past three years, the selected organization is the Victory Junction camp, which is a summer camp that caters to children with special medical needs.

Last year, the RD-RC club raised over $26,000 for the VJ. 100% of the proceeds goes to the cause! We had about 220 registered pilots last year, and probably 700+ airplanes of all sizes. We even had a 1/2 scale J3 Cub!

No charge for spectators or campers.
