  • Hiddenite Family Campground flooded

Hiddenite is about 50 miles north of Charlotte, NC

"An adult male’s body was recovered Friday morning at the flood-ravaged campgrounds in Alexander County, and a 1-year-old remains missing. Authorities had been searching for them after Thursday’s deadly floods.

There now have been four bodies recovered at the site. Three people died Thursday after waters engulfed the Hiddenite Family Campground, about an hour north of Charlotte. Some 31 people were rescued from the 30-acre camp site along the South Yadkin River." .... see this link
