Almost new campground in great shape not far off of Interstate 81 (Although the roads to the campground are tight, especially for big rigs)

    > That seems to be a thing with Tennessee side roads, narrow, no shoulders and a lot of gullies.

Nice people running it. Slowly building it up, beautiful mountain views

NOT a huge amount to do it the area so it's great for a stop over on the way to somewhere or checking out local history

Actually it is a fairly older park. It used to be called Baileyton RV park I think. It had a golf driving range in the back of it. Looks like the new owner put some money in it bringing it up to date.

I live right up the road in Jonesborough. If you have the time, check out downtown Jonesborough. Some neat little shops, good restaurants and the International Storytelling Center.

Thanks for the history on the KOA. Yes, looks like a lot of money was put into it and the driving range is still there.

Good friends took us to Jonesboro. VERY nice town and interesting history. Loved the old architecture

Especially the Salt Mine building and the now installed distillery (Of course I sampled and bought some spirits )
