fascinating .... the attitude expressed in the article is a far cry from what it has been for many years .... if they truly are committed to producing quality products, it will revolutionize the industry

All I can say is neither dealer I purchased brand new unit from was happy when I showed up with a 10 page PDI checklist, a flashlight, and a floor creeper to look over our new campers prior to signing final paperwork.

How would you like the job of "KRV Quality Assurance Manager"? Seems like one of those oxymoron thing bwhahahaha I can imagine the 2nd PDI place will be in charge of policing up all the beer cans and cigarette butts and stuff! Keystone built for the long haul? Guess it depends on how you define long haul. That would mean till the newbie owner hauled it off the lot I suspect. If they are serious, I am going to be impressed.

They need to go thru it themselves before letting the potential owner see it. Most of the mfg's use the first owner as the quality control dept.

If the rv makers would have a valid inspection program DURING assembly many of the problems would disappear. That and fire the 3 stooges as their assembly team.

Seems to be a growing trend in the RV business as the sales start to top out/decline. Just possibly, the complaints have registered? FunTime out of Cleburne TX said to be building a PDI facility in Elkhart to inspect ALL brands they order--before they hit the road for delivery...and they are also building a 100-bay repair shop in Cleburne for service work. This could be a game-changer if they can find the techs to man the shop.
