  • Alaskan crank up's still exist?

I've got a neighbor that, after a hunting trip in my old 5er, has got the hots for an RV. we have looked at pop up's (in his low end price range) but his DW calls them "fancy tents" and is not interested. I rememberd the old school "Alaskan" hard side, insulated, crank up hard top trailers. Do these things still exist? Current manufacture? As I recall, they could be easily towed with a small station wagon, had low drag and were pretty comfortable.

He's got a big Buick Roadmaster wagon, that beast will tow a 24 foot boat, at least mine did, so it ought to be enough TV for what he can afford.

OK dust off the memory blocks and let's see what we can come up with.

    Thanks, Paul
