the big boys are running at Pocono under a beautiful blue sky .... 4 car in the lead since the green flag but mid way through Stage 1 the 42 car has been the most impressive .... started at the end of the field and is already in the top 10

NASCAR lost a lot of it's luster for me when they quit running stock bodied cars. Used to, cars had to be available to public and at least 500 sold before it could appear on track.

Good article. He admits that changes have been made that has hurt the sport. Hopefully he can turn things around before it's to late.

It's time to give NASCAR president Steve Phelps a break https://www.espn.com/racing/nascar/s...e-phelps-break

    its about time !!!!!
NASCAR officials redefined the guidelines for uncontrolled tire penalties in an effort to make that element of pit-stop officiating less subjective.

wonder what NASCAR's Competition officials are stirred up about .... following the race at New Hampshire, the Team Penske No. 12 Ford of fourth-place Ryan Blaney will be taken to the NASCAR Research & Development Center in Concord, North Carolina, this week for further evaluation.

Hailie Deegan is turning 18 and continues to methodically work her way up to the upper echelons of NASCAR racing
Hailie Deegan quickly made a name for herself in the K&N Pro Series West but doesn't plan on fast-tracking her NASCAR career.

I know that Kyle Busch has some strong supporters .... I never have been one of them .... the following taken from NASCAR.com (link below) reaffirms my impression of him

"Left behind: Kurt Busch left looking for plane ride after beating Kyle Busch ... Kurt Busch was supposed to fly back to North Carolina with brother Kyle Busch, but plans changed when Kurt took the victory at Kentucky. - 07/14/2019"
