its hard to believe that another Christmas has come and gone ....do hope it was a good one for all of our folks .... now, on to New Years .... we ain't much when it comes to being party people .... no plans to go anywhere to celebrate the New Year, pretty much to see it in at home .... I'll most likely be up at midnight, that's pretty much the norm for me

the Bigfoot leveling system worked perfectly .... the picture doesn't do justice to how steep the slope drops from the ground under the front of the camper to that under the rear ..... in order to have sufficient length, we had to place 6X6 under the rear jacks .... the leveling program only permits downward motion by the front jacks on their first move .... in short, after unhooking from the truck, the front jacks lower the camper to where it is sitting level .... the rear jacks are then grounded .... with the nose to tail being level, individual jacks as needed are extended to level side by side .... as noted, the reason we moved her a day early was the forecast for extended rain .... well that rain arrived last night and is supposed to hang around all day .... in the pictures just taken of our back yard you can see the yellow plastic leveling blocks we place under each Bigfoot leveler .... it sure looks different out there with the camper and truck parked elsewhere ..

Why so low in the front of the trailer. Did the Bigfoots not operate correctly in the cold? Last time I saw ice like that come off our toppers it took the top layer of fabric with it coming off. Had to replace the topper. After that we don’t leave the slid out in freezing weather.

with our recent string of subfreezing nights, it was no surprise that a sheet of ice had formed on our slide covers as can be seen on the first couple of pictures .... the other three show where she's setup beside one of our sons' home .... she's hooked up to 50 amp current .... we may take some more Christmas stuff over tomorrow or most likely will hold off until Tuesday morning.... our schedule calls for us to bring her back to our place on Thursday .... that's when getting serious about readying her to pull out for Texas begins

Christmas 2019 just moved into reality .... with heavy rain moving in this evening we are busily packing the camper to move it later this afternoon to where we will spend Christmas .... Gilligan set out on a 3 hr tour .... we are preparing for our annual 3 mile tow to one of our son's home .... it is up to 44 outside, 44 with an icy feel in the air .... once we get the camper unhooked, leveled, and on 50 amp current we will leave it and our truck there and travel back and forth in another vehicle
