OK, know that Amazon is new at delivery but I found a parcel I had ordered weeks before (and forgotten about) in a cactus out on my property; We have a front porch and a couple car ports and no nearby neighbors.

Not if it was mine, it wouldn't be, although it's not as bad as the time UPS just left $600. worth of NASCAR tickets just laying on my front steps.

Got a package from the post office yesterday that was left on our front porch. The porch is uncovered and it was raining cats and dogs. The outer box was dripping wet but thankfully the contents, medical supplies, were ok. What was the driver thinking? I call that action brain dead.

We got a Christmas card last week from a friend in St. Petersburg. Ours was one of several she mailed at the main PO in St. Pete in the weeks before Christmas. The entire batch went missing for 5½ months.

Our local drivers carry plastic bags they put stuff in when it's raining!

That’s a good idea and it would of worked here. We have other places, like a covered porch in the back of our house, that most delivery people use. Same basic distance walking wise.

A few years ago my sister bought one of those fancy steak deals that come packed in dry ice. A couple weeks after delivery she asked how I like the steak she sent (guess she expected me to thank her). Had not seen the streaks and eventually found the box up in the weeds near the lower entrance to our property. It wasn't visible going by and you had to be searching for it. GO FEDEX!

When my sis and her hubby were staying in our RV parking slip, he got my wife to order my sis an anniversary gift from James Avery. It did not show up for the 3 weeks they had remaining and never did show up. Eventually my wife cancelled the order and sent my bro-in-law his money (wasn't cheap) and then about 3 weeks after that I noticed a box up in an old newspaper tube up by the road. It was the James Avery gift and they told my missus to keep it. GO UPS!

I ordered a couple carb kits from eBay; took the seller using a "shipping partner" 8 days to get the two oz. package into the hands of the USPS and then they took over the confusion after a scenic tour of Texas:

You realize the driver does not know what is inside the package, unless you don't mind if they open it to see what's there. To them it's just another stop they have to make before they return to the building to completer their day

years ago I set our UPS delivery preferences for them to deliver packages to our backdoor .... I must have done it on their website but its been so long ago that I don't remember .... that is exactly what happens and for us that has worked well .... I haven't had the same luck with USPS or FedEx
