heck of a season finale .... when they kidnapped Caitriona Balfe (Claire) and Sam Heughan (Jamie) lit the cross, it was clear that all heck is going to breakout .... and it sure did .... extremely strong performace by Caitriona ..... Season 6 has been funded but, due largely to the world wide pandemic, filming hasn't started .... per a term created by fans of the show, Droughtlander had begun

"Outlander Season 6 filming has been delayed due to the coronavirus, but a new development will enable the production to get going soon. They have built a new COVID-19 testing center at the studios where they shoot in Scotland.

The whole filming process has had to adapt to the pandemic. Masks must be worn whenever possible; cast and crew must form a bubble, and regular testing must be performed.

According to the Daily Record, Outlander execs spent over £150,000 (about $204,000 based on the current exchange rate) to build their own testing center at Wardpark Film Studios. It is located in the parking lot of the studios.

The Outlander staff will be tested up to three times a week at the new center. Each rapid test runs about £150 (about $204). If someone tests positive, they won’t be allowed to work.

Strict measures such as these are the only way that production can go on while the rest of the country is in lockdown. It’s a huge cost, but it ensures our stars are safe and that there won’t be further delays in filming.

The Daily Record said, “Pre-production for the sixth series began earlier this month and its cast are due to begin filming this month.” It sounds like Season 6 filming is almost a go!"

While I read all the books in the series several years ago, I reread the one being filmed prior to watching it. I just finished the one for this season, it has some rather tough parts to dealwith. I will tell you it leads up to the Revolutionary War.

"After just starting filming in January 2021, Outlander Season 6 is nowcomplete. In honor of World Outlander Day, the social team shared the update with images for the upcoming season.

Wait, how could it only take five months to film all 12 episodes? This is where there is a little bit of mixed news. The sixth season is now only going to be eight episodes long, with a 90-minute season premiere.

Dinna fash about the missing episodes. The four episodes will be added to Outlander Season 7, which was originally going to be 12 episodes long. The decision comes from the filming delays and problems, leading to the need to reduce the episode count on Season 6 to make sure it arrives soon."
