  • 2018 summer trip

We are getting ready to depart on our 2018 summer trip. We will be making stops in New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine in the US, and then into New Brunswick, PEI and Quebec Canada to visit with my wife's family and friends. I'm really trying to brush up on the french language. They really give me a hard time with my southern accent LOL.

Looking on the long range weather forecast, the weather should be cool. Looking forward to getting on the road.

Got to remember to leave my guns at the house. I don't want to lose them at the border.

PEI is a great place to visit. It's free to enter the province, but a little expensive to leave .

We arrived yesterday at Nashville I-24 Campground. It's located in Smyrna, Tn., on the south side of Nashville. We will be here for 5 nights visiting with family. Nice pull thru lot, good size. With Good Sam, $37.00 and change per night. 50 amp, water, sewer and many OTA digital channels since so close to Nashville.

Next stop Mount Airy NC., to Mayberry Campground. They say Thelma Lou still loves there. Looking forward to seeing the town where Andy Griffith Show was filmed. We will be at Mayberry for 2 nights, then heading to several northeastern states, then into Canada.

by the way, this is our first trip with our new Ram. Very impressed so far.

Be sure to go to the Snappy Lunch in downtown Mount Airy for their pork chop sandwich. Place gets crowded early during the summer tourist months. They'll be closed July 29-August 3 for their own vacation.
