its nice to be able to say our club weekend is going well .... some minor issues with a couple of member's campers were easily taken care of .... thankfully ours seems to be doing OK .... good food, good friends, good weather .... our campground is booked solid ..... they have a NO Vacancy sign hanging at the entrance that says only those with confirmed reservations will be admitted .... its been good to see families camping .... lots of good smells from grills and outdoor cooking ..

we are back home, happily our weekend went well .... our next club outing is scheduled for September

the Tarheel Roadrunners has reservations to kick off its fall 2020 camping season at Zooland Campground in Asheboro, NC .... we plan to arrive there on Friday and return home on Sunday .... we are looking forward to seeing our fellow club members and to the shrimp on the barbie .... Saturday will include of the North Carolina Zoo

our next club outing is scheduled for Oct 9 - 11 at Carolina Crossroads .... as always, should anyone be in the neighborhood please stop by .... Maureen and I plan to leave there on Sunday and drive on up to Chesapeake for a couple of weeks

2020 has been a very different year for our camping club .... our last outing is scheduled for Raleigh Oaks over the weekend of December 4 - 6 .... no major events, mostly sitting around a campfire visiting

this afternoon we plan to start packing for the weekend .... sure hope things go smoothly .... the forecast is calling for some rain Friday afternoon and, thankfully, no subfreezing temps

we fixed Bacon Wrapped Burger Dogs for our camping club .... we did change the recipe a bit by adding our our SPG Seasoning to the hamburger.... to say that they were a big hit would be a major understatement

our club's last campout of the year went well .... we are already looking forward to April when we have scheduled our first for 2021

our first outing in 2021 is scheduled to be held at Raleigh Oaks over the weekend of April 16 - 18 .... anyone who happens to be in the area and who may be interested is very welcome to join us

our camping club put on a pretty nice spread tonight .... choice of homemade chili (with beans) or homemade vegetable beef soup (or both), grilled cheese sandwiches, various salads .... chocolate cake and other deserts .... nobody went hungry ..

as has been the case with several other clubs we've belonged to, our camping club really eats well .... its a good thing for me that we don't get together more than once a month .... I had to take a couple of hours out of this afternoon to return home for a scheduled appointment with a service tech from our home alarm system .... it took me several times longer to drive home and back to the campground than it did for him to reprogram our thermostat .... I met the tech in our driveway and explained the issue ... he listened, came in, took a look and acknowledged what I'd told him .... in his report he wrote that if the customer had been given the correct information, his service call would have not been necessary ....

packing up morning .... pretty much routine .... should be home well before noon

well, another club outing ends .... we are home so unpacking begins .... one more outing scheduled for May before we had to South Dakota .... time seems to pass quickly while we are traveling .... the truth of the matter is, it also seems to pass quickly while we are home .

the Tarheel Travelers are planning to camp at NC State Fair Campgrounds this weekend .... May 14 - 16 .... really looking forward to our bring your own steak meal Saturday night .... .... anyone passing through the area would be more than welcome to join us
