We frequently travel like that and have for many years.

The Arkansas trip spanned 12 days and we stayed at 4 different campgrounds. We made a big loop from Dallas, through Oklahoma to Devil's Den to Bull Shoals to Lake Catherine and back home. The longest tow of the trip was the last day and that was 300 miles.

Thanks for the thought. We talked about traveling like that. Trouble is she's still got more bad days than good ones and I wouldn't want to force her into having to stay hold up in the trailer for 2 or 3 at a time.

She's getting better all the time and eventually we'll get there.

Break up the drive. Drive 2 hours and stay a couple of days, then repeat. You can go anywhere. Just may take some time.

I know the power of the force some times make you walk on the dark side

I wish we could go that far. About a two hour ride is Gayle's limit on good days. That 3-1/2 hour ride for her surgery follow-up visits nearly do her in. But one day that will all be behind us and we will then have to "catch-up" on what we've missed.

It would be a nice place to take Gayle, after all it is out of Louisiana.. No fair hitting below the belt.. And it is not nice to come home and have to tell the Lovely Janet package that we are still waiting on parts

If you'd quit tearing up your trailer and then putting it in storage at the Body Shop, it would be calling you too.

  • Bull Shoals-White River State Park, Bull Shoals, Arkansas

We camped 2 nights at Bull Shoals-White River State Park near Bull Shoals, Arkansas in June 2013 in site 75.

We had a water/electric site on the White River. Great water quality and pressure. Consistent 50A electric service. There are sites with sewer in the park. Some of the sites quite close together. Fortunately, the sites adjacent to ours were vacant most the time we were there.

One developed hiking trail. The parks main attraction is trout fishing. The visitor center is across the dam and is huge and beautiful.

Water level and flow in the White River varies. It is down stream from the Bull Shoals hydroelectric dam. It is released depending on power demand.

Beautiful area. We would stay here again.
