We went last year. Had alot of fun, but alas, found no diamonds.

Dog had fun sleeping in the sun. Ordianarily at home she digs quite a bit. There when it was OK to dig, all she did was sleep.

Take small spades and a five gallon bucket. No sense renting them.

          Also something to sit on.

          Good luck.

The dog slept because someone else did all the work.
What do you need to sit on? Like a chair or a carpet or what in particular?
            Thanks,

A piece of carpet would work, we just used a camp stool or the aforementioned 5 gallon bucket.

Then after hunting diamonds heading to the Grand Canyon. I have the whole month of August, what do you think would that be enough time. Starting point, Putnam. NY.:Scratch-Head:

Crater of Diamonds State Park will be VERY hot in August. I would not recommend that time of year to visit to search for diamonds.
