Yes, make reservations, you won't be disappointed. You are only 310 miles from Petit Jean. I bet the park is spectacular in the fall.

We were fortunate that we were assigned site 19. When we made our reservation, we did not know you can request a specific site. Call to make your reservation and request the specific site you want.

Your feet could be in this picture:

    Good luck...

It has been a number of years since we have been there. Looks like it is time to make the trip again. Always loved going there, but having moved from Fort Worth to Houston, it just was not as close as it used to be. Got to find the time to make another trip there soon.

We've been to Petit Jean several times, staying in their cabins but I don't think we covered anywhere near as many trails as you did. I almost died just walking down to the falls and climbing back up.

Arkansas really has some nice parks. Always makes me kind of mad at our Texas parks system.

            Thank You Russell

We were just talking last night about a week to ten day trip to Petit Jean. We have never been there. Thanks for the details.
Would July or August be to hot to go there ?

It will be pretty hot there in July. Do your activities in the morning. Lounge inside in the afternoon.

                Tour Guide

That was awesome. You should be a tour guide. Another location has been added to my must see list. I love those old CCC buildings...

                  Thanks, Stan.

Very nice park. Easy to be a tour guide when the area is so beautiful.
