  • Beaver Run RV Park - Statesboro, GA

We are camped not far from Statesboro, GA (between there and the Geo Smith SP) - Exit 111, off I-16, at Beaver Run RV Park.

The people in the office are very nice. We even got a warm chocolate chip cookie when we arrived.

    Full Hook-up - 50 amp
There is a club house and rec room
    Laundry w/ 2 washers & dryers
    Bath house

A nice clean park, with the rustic look/feel.

We found out after we were here for a couple of days --- If you have cats with you, they must be on a lead if you want to let them outside. Believe it or not. We've seen three rigs with their cats out on a lead.

I think we have visited already. It seems that he might have had a military hat on. There is a potluck tonight. I'll scout them out.

That's my home stomping ground. I'm from Metter, GA. About 22 miles from Statesboro. Nice country, but very hot in the middle of summer. Hope you enjoy your stay. And remember....Everything's better in Metter.

It's supposed to rain through Friday (rained yesterday off & on most of the day). But we hope to get out to the state park on Saturday and Sunday for some outdoor fun.

You have to get over to George L Smith SP and paddle. They have kayak rentals. It's only 15 or so miles.

Actually, we were over there today, but we took our bicycles around the three-mile loop. The path is packed sand/dirt, grass/pine straw/leaves in most places. There were only a few spots where the sand was loose. It was a nice ride.

We're thinking about going back on Saturday to go kayaking.

Yes we rode the bike trail this year. It was hardly anyone on it and it was strange to see how the terrain changed as you move farther away from the lake.
