Last weekend we visited Lake Bruin State Park for the first time. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. This is such a clean, tidy, wonderful park. Situated on an oxbow lake in Tensas Parish. Tons of Bald Cypress trees with Spanish moss hanging down, Oak trees, huge Pecan Trees, Squirrels all over the place. Asphalt roads and pads throughout the park. Boat launch, canoe rental, stuff for the kids. A beautiful look at Louisiana. We will definitely go back.
