We camped for two weeks at the Lansing Cottonwood RV Park. Spring is a bit late arriving, and the campground looked a bit beat up when we first arrived, but as we were getting ready to pull out, things were starting to green up and look nice.

It's a simple campground with a combination of primitive camping, partial hook-ups, and full hook-ups, including 50-amp service.

Some sites are shaded - some not.

The roads are dirt/gravel (just a bit narrow, but still navigable) - sites are grass/dirt, but you can use your mats at your site.

Bath house and laundry room clean.

Game room with air hockey and video games

    Office staff all very nice.

Small store with little things you might need.

You can rent kayaks for their little "lake." Lots of walking space at the campground.

The only negative thing I can think of is that the pods from the cottonwood trees (in the spring) are sticky, and they end up in the rig, staining anything fabric with a yellow color.

We would camp here again if we're ever in the area.

      Cottonwood Site

We were in site 44A, which has a tree on site, just outside the door. For a full hook-up site without trees you'd want to be closer to the office, or get an E/W site across the road.

I forget the site number in the E/W site that's by the little pond, but it was almost directly across from us. People tented there, but there is a tree out by the road, and you can't get a rig under it. Our friends from NY stopped overnight, and they had to move them to a different site because they couldn't get their little pull-behind under it. If you look at the campground map (it's online), you can ask the office staff which it is.
