  • St. Clair Thousand Trails, St. Clair, Michigan

we have visited this Thousand Trails CG twice .... it is located about 50 miles north of Detroit at exit 262 on I-94 ... it is a former KOA that is one of the few Thousand Trails close to an interstate :

it is a members only CG and is being posted on this forum because I know of several members here who are also members of Thousand Trails .... it is a small CG with only a few sites that have a clear view of the southern sky ... mostly back-ins ... wifi at the clubhouse .... water/electric/sewer OK .... this is a special site to us because it is where we first met closurdo (Larry and Debbie) and PaulC (Paul and Mary) .... picture 3 shows the furnace heat vent that Paul designed and installed in our 5er (it should be noted that Elvie personally told me that it was impossible to install a heat vent in a Titan 5er :Scratch-Head: ) ... we hope to be able to spend a week or so there again in late May/early June

    Jim,
Seems to me that we met at that campground too! I remember the great roast you cooked on your Holland while we told lies under the awning.

you are absolutely correct ... pictures of your visit are on our home computer and not this one ... I have the grill set up and a pork loin in the freezer, you have me strongly thinking about putting it on

Being Thousand Trail members, I hope we get a chance to stay there someday. That would mean we are traveling.

You need to fix the URL.

It has an extra http:// at the beginning.

                  About Thousand Trails

Are all of you happy with your Thousand Trails memberships??

Someone offered us theirs for the cost of transfer ($750). They said they had paid $5000 for eastern US membership. Does that sound right & is it worth it?:dunno:

that is the only way to buy a membership ... new national ones are going for $12,000 ... be advised that there are a ton of different plans out there and there are features that really come in handy that aren't in all plans ... bottom line if they have parks you will use, it is absolutely wonderful, if not a membership is worthless ... if you are still interested contact me by PM so we can talk

For some reason, 'RV Talk' has the http already there when you press 'Insert Link' and can not be overwritten with a paste command. On SBT, when pasting a new link in the space, the original http was overwritten. Not now. I have to back space over it and then paste the new link.
