  • Campgrounds Of The South --- Gulfport, MS

we overnighted at Campgrounds Of The South on Feb 25 - 26, 2013 .... we came in after a series of an all day of heavy rain so the place is understandably soggy .... the sites are paved, long and narrow .... the pavement in the pull through we are on is reasonably level, we didn't have to unhook and that is pretty rare .... clear view of the southern sky is no problem .... folks working here are friendly and relaxed .... our site was reserved by them placing an orange cone at its entrance .... water/sewer/electric good .... $25 of our site .... very close to the interstate but there is some traffic noise .... we would overnight here again .... first picture shows the sign by the office, sure hope they were disappointed when we showed up instead ... rest of the pictures are of the CG and our site .... couldn't take more pictures, heavy thunderstorms in progress

I noticed it as well but doubt I'll get a chance to check it out .... its raining so hard right now that we've lost satellite signal and hope to pull out by 8:00am

with the cost of diesel, the amount our truck burns; in addition to, having little interest in spending any more time than is necessary getting from point A to point B, when we are traveling, that is an important feature for us .... if we are going to be somewhere for a while, other considerations take precedence
