Today a number of us visited the NC Zoo. I had not been there since our daughter was 1 year old so it was very different that I remembered it. She, her little boy age 3, a friend and I went through the African exhibit today. That was about all he could handle. If the club comes back next year, we will do the North American exhibit. We enjoyed it greatly even though it was hot and the paths were often hilly. I don't recommend the Billy D's lunchette. Next year will opt for something else.

our club camped at Zooland Sept 13 - 15, 2019 .... $41 (with Goodsam discount) for a relatively narrow, full hookup, pull through site .... good water/electric .... long, up hill, sewer runs .... OK DISH signal reception on our site (#3), suspect that would not be the case on many, if not most, sites .... it is an old CG that looks like an old campground .... major renovations taking place on the LODGE .... very kid friendly with good range of play areas .... narrow, gravel roads .... all campers are supposed to wear a yellow hospital band ....

Our club went there for years.... The cg had not changed much. Sites had lots of roots and were uneven. Very busy with families on weekends. Once you see the zoo and a few sights, there is not much attraction. They did have a very nice hall for campers to use with a nice kitchen.

The voltage here is good even with every ones AC's running. None of the lower sites have sewer but it looks like a nice area. We are up top on the hill where all 88 sites are full hookup. Nice facilities for our club functions too!

Some of our group have gone to the Zoo, we will likely do it another time when it is not so hot. We are going to the NC museum of Aviation and down the road to the covered bridge park.

We camped at Zooland several years ago and at that time the incoming power to my site (can't remember the # ) was low during peak load times. They were also developing new sites along the creek which were 50 amp full hookup sites. I hope you get a chance to go to the zoo. It is impressive.

    Zooland CG - Asheboro

We are set up here till Monday with 11 rigs in our club. So far there seems like much to do. Nice CG with plenty of power and all you would expect. Some sites are not perfectly level on the hills sides but nothing that a few blocks can't correct.

    Zooland Family Campground

This is the first new to us CG we have camped in in 6 months or so.
