Hocking Hills Campground: Cabin, Campers and Tents with fishing lake and paddleboats shuffleboard. Happy Hills Campghround - Nelsonville Ohio
This is a GREAT campground for familys that want a slow paced quiet campground. They have a huge pond that has 3 diffrent docks to fish off of as well as paddle boats, with hopes of getting new ones soon.
The owners of this campground were very helpful, and willing to help w/o a doubt. Daren and Lorriane were always there with a smile and a helping hand. They have several full hook up sites and a few electric and water sites. They had spent the winter months working to make the grounds more rv friendly w/o loosing the " campground" feel. There are hiking trails around the park. several kid friendly "short cuts" to the park and craft barn area.
Very pet frienly as long as you clean up after your pawed friends.
Be prepared there is no cable tv. But there is cell phone service for most carriers. There is a pool for use but anyone under the age of 14 must be with a guardian.
they are located only 8 miles from atv trails for those that enjoy them. There are more then 47 miles of trails in the nelsonville area.
they have a small office that is stocked with some of the more common needed supplies. We happed to need both bug spray and rope. and they had both.
remember to take your fishing poles and gear and your best lawn chair to sit back and wait for the fish to bite.
i can not stress enough how helpful, friendly and fun this campground was.
we stayed on site 64. with a 38 ft travel trailer.
