Just wondering. Many beautiful places to see and stay in the Pacific Northwest. Both Washington and Oregon are wonderful RV hosts. In our years in Washington and Oregon we have been most places of interest. If I can help let me know.

We'll take any suggestions of things to do/see (should not miss) in Portland & Tacoma/Seattle. When we're camping in Tacoma, we'll be at one of the military campgrounds. We usually don't venture more than an hour away from the campground though.

I know we're just skimming the surface of the two states, but we don't have time this year to spend all summer season in either state like we normally would during our trips (we usually choose one or two states to focus on). But I wanted to add these two states to our list of states we've camped in before we head back. Life changes, and this is our last year out as full-timers. But the changes are exciting too. But we'll probably never bring the rig out West again.

Here are a couple of places. One in Tacoma and the other is my home town in Leavenworth, Wa. It is on highway 2 about a 3 hour drive East of Seattle and Tacoma. If you are East when you leave it is a beautiful drive and then you can catch HWY 97 down to 84 in Oregon. take a look at Leavenworth.org. Campgrounds in the area but advise reservations.
The one in Tacoma is the LeMay car museum https://www.americascarmuseum.org/ex...ish-invasion/# I been there once and enjoyed it. It just of I5 and next to the Tacoma Dome.

Z, They actually said that to you?

              Really?

Have heard of that in certain trailer parks, but just a campground !
Those type snobs don't need your business.

The cops would have came, I would have had a bloody fit.
Portland is a weird place anyway.

We aren't there yet. I was just calling ahead to make reservations. More campgrounds are doing this, especially the nicer resorts. It's not the first time we've been told that. But that's okay. The campground where we're staying is apparently pretty nice. Our friends in the Portland area said they have friends who camp there all the time and love it.

As long as you are happy, that's what really matters. I sure do not understand turning someone away just because of the age of RV. Their money is as green as anyone's. Be nice to boycott them and see if they change their minds when going broke.
