The purpose of this thread is to provide folks with information on good places to buy fuel when traveling through areas we aren’t familiar with. If you know of any good or bad locations please post your comments. The types of info that might be helpful is exact location, big rig friendly ? , pumps available on both sides of vehicle ? , high speed pumps ? , open 24 hours ? , other services available ?

A couple of places to help find fuel and prices:
GasBuddy.com - Find Low Gas Prices in the USA and Canada for prices around larger cities
Rand/McNally WalMart Atlas to find WM/Sams stations + diesel.

In the Waco area, the HEB at exit 338A on I-35 has both gas ($2.45) and diesel ($2.59) today.
Plenty of room for trailers and open 24hrs, I believe.
Also, HEB and WalMart at Exit 223 have gas and diesel, usually at competitive pricing.

One comment about the Gas Buddy site.

It depends on users to update the prices. I have found locally that many stations are not on the list because no one took the time to update the prices. In our area, sometimes the only prices posted are the ones I enter.

I wonder if anyone else has experienced this?

          Norty,
Yep, its just a tool--sure wouldn't want to drive very far based on what is there. And I have found gas price listed on diesel side. On the other hand, I use it when I travel on business--if I find a likely price close to where I will be anyway, off I go to try to fill up my 60 gal bed tank. It is getting very hard to find more then 10cents difference anywhere.

            Fuel Site

I use the MSN Fuel site frequently and it's pretty
accurate. No matter where you are if you have
computer connections you can tape into it and find
            the lowest prices.
