It would be fine with me Norty.
Just leave the snooty ones behind.

Best rules are, there are no rules.

I will be able to find acres of land where you could hoop and hollar all night long if you like.
    Maybe even provide some entertainment.

    Dry Camping

We were playing a rowdy game of LCRWelcome to Dicegames.com and we were told to head inside at 10pm. We were a bit irritated seeing as half the campground was playing, but we followed the rules.[/QUOTE]

One big reason to dry camp.
No gestapo walking around flashing orders.
I just get going around 10 pm.
Glad I wasn't in a place like that,
I'm afraid there would have been a confrontation.
But if you are camping that close to others,
they might be the early to bed type.

We have one of these Amazon.com: Coleman Pack-Away Portable Fireplace Grill: Sports & Outdoors, and we've always (at Thousand Trails, at least) been able to have campfires in it even when burn bans are in effect.

The rangers refered to campfire in a can as an open flame. I asked b/c i was gonna invest in one if they were allowed.
I guess they had some really unhappy campers that weekend b/c they were on patrol most of the night. We were playing a rowdy game of LCRWelcome to Dicegames.com and we were told to head inside at 10pm. We were a bit irritated seeing as half the campground was playing, but we followed the rules.

interesting .... I read the link and as you noted there is an exception for "Grills, lanterns or liquid-fueled gas fire stoves" .... a Campfire-In-A-Can comes with a grate that can be used for grilling and/or cooking .... I tend to believe .... believe I'd have to give it a try .... several years ago during a swing out west, we were in a place with such a ban and we were able to use it

    started a topic Fire ban

    Fire ban

The entire state of WV has a fire ban. No wood or charcoal fires. Grill fires are currently allowed at our local campground, but not campfire in a can either. Im not sure how long this no burn will be in effect.
