there is a saying in our part of the country that's been around as long as I can remember .... that being, When the dogwoods start bloom'n, the crappie start school'n .... well, that time has come to central NC and from what I hear the crappie fishing has kicked into high gear in central NC ...

Pretty picture - looking forward to the ride home and seeing some real trees.

My only problem with spring is the pollen. With the sneezing and coughing I feel like the desert might be the place to be.

We have an Orange Grove, I don't know how many acres to the west of Live Oak and when they start blossoming the smell is wonderful the effects are troubling for folks with allergies, half the resort was complaining, but it seems to have let up now. I can remember traveling back from Florida years ago coming out of the hotel one morning in South Carolina and initially couldn't find my blue car, every car was covered in green pollen.

all too well understood on the green pollen .... in our area its mostly pine pollen .... it was terrible last week ,,,, this weekend's rain took care of most of it but I'm pretty sure another cloud is on the way
