saying it right up front, I am not a fan of Mercury outboard motors .... I've owned 2 and had way too many problems with both .... all that being said, they have come out with a Mercury V12 600HP Verado outboard that has some amazing technology .... no clue what they sell for .... I'd sure love to drive a boat powered by one or more of them

in addition, you would need a much bigger, heavier boat to put one of those behemoths on! It would a bit of overkill for the local Jon boat crappie fisherman.

we were down at the NC Intracoastal Waterway last fall and saw a large center console off shore sport fishing boat with 2 of these motors idle by .... must admit to being surprised at how quiet they were

In January in Biloxi a center console fishing rig passes us on US 90 with twin big diesel outboards.

We had never heard of them, but saw "OXE" on the side of the engine. The center console had two of them....300 HP each and 950 pounds each...and very pricey..
