given they do take a bit more effort to cook, we find that we enjoy the flavor, taste, and texture of dried beans .... our favorite way to them it to soak them in filtered water overnight .... we boil a country ham hock or piece of another seasoning meat in filtered water for about an hour .... strain the beans being soaked and add them to the seasoned water .... slow boil them for a couple of hours or until they reach the taste and texture you like ....leftover beans can be frozen for later use .... today we had black-eyed peas in one pot and pinto beans in the other

preparing dried beans most definitely takes more time and effort than opening a can or taking a pack out of the freezer .... the major reason we often do so it, there are no preservatives or other chemical items that we do not choose to use ....Jim

Instant Pot is a modern version of a pressure cooker. Does an amazing job with pot roast, dried beans, collard greens, soups and stews. We have one in the RV and another in the house.Russell

We are another user of a Insta Pot. Only have one but it’s used at least 3 times a week. We use ours for rice, yogurt, and soups amoung other items. If this one ever breaks we would get another right away. Have not tried beans in it as of yet, but will.David & Bonnie (1 Female Cat)
