its my understanding that the first date the IRS says we can file our Federal Taxes is Feb 12th .... we use H&R software and they say their next update will be on Feb 18th .... question, when do you plan on filing your taxes ..?.. we have the documents needed to fill ours out right now but don't know if we should wait until after then software update on the 18th ..?..

I use H&R Block also. Just got it Saturday. At any rate every year I have to wait for one 1099 released at the end of Feb.

With the bakery filed as an LLC - all of it's numbers go directly to our bottom line. Thus, with all the PPE loans paperwork, rules, regs, etc --- we use an accountant to file our taxes. It's an expensive choice... but given the fact that our 2019 return was 118 pages long... I have no doubt that it's a wise choice.

ain't it great that they are working so hard to simplify the tax code

I filed mine with H&R yesterday. According to blurb I saw when the IRS gets off their dead rear and starts receiving returns on the 12th H&R is going to dump all the returns they have stored. Sometime after that I expect to receive a notice that is has been accepted.

LOL. Don't get me started. It's INSANE the amount of paperwork that a simple LLC can get into...

118 pages? Weren't they talking about doing your taxes on a form the size of a postcard? Guess that isn't working out. I have a sole proprietorship and do my taxes with Turbo Tax. It is expensive but being able to pull stuff forward from the previous year makes it easier.

my bet is when they punched the key to start accepting the returns that there was a huge number in cue
