on the hearing aids themselves, they only have an upper and lower switch for volume control .... I'm sure other adjustments may be possible using the app .... that remains to be seen and will have to be explored next Monday

That's all mine have. All the options likely will have to be set using the app on a smart phone.

just learned right good size plus .... the name of the franchise we purchased my hearing aids is Hearing Life and we were told that they have stores all over the country .... well I just checked and it was really good to learn they have store in Brookings, SD which is the closest good size town to where we spend our summer ....

Gave up to wife's persuasion about 8 years ago--got a medium priced set from Costco. Have had about every problem you could have that you cause yourself, but the aids themselves are good. It definitely makes a difference. I also use the Bluetooth app to get phones thru the left earpiece, have to talk over the phone. Also gets confused with the Jeep and can often find the caller is unable to hear me because its coming thru the Jeep and I mess it up. Bad deal is when you get out of the Jeep with it running, then get a phone call that you can hear, but you have to answer thru the Jeep. Technology is leaving me in the dust... If I happen to be outside the coach, and the phone is inside, I do know when I get a call but can't answer it.

just got home from "Hearing Life" (name of the national chain wher e I purchased my hearing aids) .... I've now had them for a week ..... the lady we work with adjusted the default volume setting for each hearing aid; as well as, some other programming .... she also replaced the fitting that goes into my left ear which wasn't doing a good job of sealing the hearing canal .... that allowed some rather unwelcome feedback and other sounds .... that has proven to be a major improvement .... she also made molds from which to make custom made seals ..... they should be here in a week to 10 days ....

reached a milestone this morning .... for the first time, I took my hearing aids out of the charger and put them on without having to make a single adjustment .... the good news is, they are working perfectly ....

If it makes any of you feel better David was issued hearing aids this year. Thankfully they were given to him under his va care. No cost.
however I’m not sure they were expecting him to use them as he does. He links to music and the tv Bluetooth so that he can watch and I’m not bothered by the volume of “all the way up”. So i can sit and read while next to him.
He’s had it for years do to being on the flight deck and flight line in the navy.
At first it was hard for him to get past the idea of wearing them. Once he got them i refused to repeat myself and just said “if you had your ears on”. He took the hint.
im not sure when this “training” portion will be over but after 27 years I’m hoping it’s soon.

my hearing aids have a Bluetooth function but I have no clue or desire to have it working .... got word yesterday that I need to go back and have the custom part that goes into each ear remolded .... unsure what was wrong with the molds they made last week .... looking forward to getting them and putting them to use

today I returned to the Hearing Life store where we purchased my hearing aids .... a while back the lady we deal with made molds from which to make custom ear pieces .... have worn them for about an hour and can't help but be impressed .... as should be expected, they form a much better seal in the ear canal .... less (make that much less) background noise .... much clearer sound .... most noticeably, much louder sound that is going to take some getting used to .... my initial reaction is very favorable .... another appoiintment is scheduled for about a month at which time any adjustments that may be necessary will be made
