            • Jim, if it would be possible, perhaps change the topic. It says, "Jim (JEBar) is in the hospital". I think some are getting confused by that.

happy to say that everything still seems to be good .... my next and hopefully last followup appointment with the surgeon isn't until July .... if anyone ever needs any heart work, other than finding a place to park, Duke University Hospital ain't bad at all

as can be seen from this thread started back in 2009, I've been dealing with Atrial Fibrillation (AF or AFib) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atrial_fibrillation and Atrial flutter (AFL) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atrial_flutter .... over time I

1 was placed on various meds which worked to various degrees over various periods of time

                        2. under went Electrical cardioversion which involves the restoration of normal heart rhythm through the application of a DC electrical shock which didn't last a week

3 and most recently radio frequency ablation. http://www.heart.org/HEARTORG/Condit...p#.WNrf7sm1vIU

the radio frequency ablation took place at Duke University Hospital on Dec 28th .... last week in a post surgery examination it was determined that (so far) all's good .... today in an appointment with my long time cardiologist, that determination was confirmed and I'm now back on a yearly appointment schedule .... in July I have another appointment at Duke and if things go as they are now, I'll be released .... sure hope that is the case

well, 1 year since the ablation and all's well .... to be honest, until Maureen mentioned it, I didn't realize it has been a year ... I have a followup appointment scheduled right after we get back from Texas in March .... sure hope things continue in a positive direction

                        • Internal things that when working, aren't thought about much. I'm the same way and surprised myself to realize it's been just over 5 years since my heart attack.

I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was going to blame you.

The things that come to those that wait will be the scraggly crappy junk left by those that got there first.
