    Jim and I discussed this on the Wheeler chat we've had going but if someone missed it check this out.

    Have you seen the new sniper record for a kill? 3,540 meters, 2.2 mi. They say the bullet flight was over 11 sec and subsonic by the time it got there. The guy heard the sound a millisecond before he enjoyed the bullet. Kudos to the spotter, look at all he had to calculate. Wonder how far the earth moves in 11 seconds???

      there is a great deal of info in the linThe spotter wouk provided above that I find to be amazing .... not the least of which is shown below in bold print :
      The spotter would have had to successfully calculate five factors: distance, wind, atmospheric conditions and the speed of the earth

        I remember reading about this a couple weeks ago. I was right in that he is a Canadian. Way to go!
