  • NRA Today?

I was a long time NRA member but am certainly concerned that this organization may not be spending my bucks for the stated purpose of defending gun rights. The dust up? Somebody has got to be fibbing... https://helpsavethenra.com/

Like with many organizations that size... refreshed leadership is always needed. Keep the same folks around too long, and often times - bad habits are formed, supported, and effectiveness wains.

Mr. LaPierre was very good for the NRA for many years as he navigated some very troubled waters with the organization. The fight is different today... and requires a different leader.

All too true with many organizations that start out with great ambitions, but just let success bring in the money and things change. Didn't the United Way have some sort of CEO scandal a while back?

Yep. The CEO defrauded the organization of just over $1M.... spent six years in prison.

When considering a charity, I always look at Charitynavigator.org. If you search that site for NRA, you will turn up a whole bunch of separate charitable organizations but here is the one for the main NRA: https://www.charitynavigator.org/ind...ary&orgid=5450 Considering how much they try and get me to give them money, won't do it till they set their house in order or renew my membership.
